In our Beginner Courses we teach the most popular Ballroom and Latin dances with some dances being saved for the Beginner Plus Class.

Each dance has its own style, technique and rhythm so there’s something out there for everyone!

Each month, we hold a Beginner Course that runs for the duration of that month. Classes are in Wickham Bishops (Witham) on Wednesday nights, 7-8pm. We only teach one dance per Beginner Course, keeping things as clear as possible to ensure you know your spin turns from your spot turns!

Learn to dance the Quickstep! (May)

This May we will be teaching the Quickstep! The Quickstep is a fantastically fun and easy to learn dance - perfect for absolute beginners. With its quickly repeating basics, we will get you dancing around the room from your first week!

This Beginner Course will be teaching the Quickstep from the very beginning.

Learn to dance the Jive! (April)

£47.50

This April, we will be teaching the Jive. The Jive is a wonderfully upbeat fast paced (or slower paced with our alternative Jive) Latin dance, packed with energy and life! With our patented ‘dum-de-dum’ and ‘diddly-de’ teaching techniques, we will have you jiving from day 1.

This Beginner Course will be teaching the Jive from the very beginning.

(2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th April)

“FOCUS ON ONE DANCE AT A TIME”

The beauty of our Beginner Courses is that you will be able to learn one dance every course without learning any other dances. This ensures that you know your spin turns from your spot turns. You get to really understand the music and the character of the dance as well as the steps, before moving onto another dance style.

In addition to this, every Friday evening we hold a Practice Night for you to be able to come along and cement in your moves and increase your confidence. And if you get stuck, we are more than happy to help any of our pupils out – just ask!

You are not alone! At the beginning of each course you will be learning a dance from the very beginning along with other like-minded people who have the same goals as you - to learn to dance and to have a fun time doing it.

There will be times where you're working hard, times of laughter and having fun as well as moments that really make you think. But it's a journey that can bring people together and create friendships.
